History

The ANZICS/ACCCN Intensive Care ASM was first run in Adelaide on 14-15 May 1976. The convenor was Dr D. McLeave and the keynote speakers included J. Cade, V. Callanan, G. Dahlenburg, Malcolm Fisher, J. Flachs, J. Gilligan, A. Kelly, A. Morton, T. Oh, D. Owens, B. Nicholson, G. Phillips, Matt Spence, J. VonWiller, R. Young and Robert Wright.

The conference has since run annually and moves around Australia and New Zealand on a rotational basis. For a list of previous conferences click here.

In 1995 the first Australian & New Zealand Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care conference was incorporated. In 2007, the 13th of these conferences will be run.
